Am. Golden-Plover and Buff-breasted Sandpipers in Montgomery, Sept. 4, 2012

Jeff Ellerbusch found an American Golden-Plover (AGPL) in between the raindrops at Selody Sod Farms in Montgomery Township this afternoon. This is the only AGPL reported in 2012 in either Somerset or Morris Counties. Four juvenile Buff-breasted Sandpipers also in attendance are a remarkable high count for the county. Other species: 100+ Killdeer, 1 juvenile Semipalmated Plover, and 5 Least Sandpipers.
