Yellow-breasted Chat at Chimney Rock, Sept. 12, 2012

Although last night did not offer the most favorable of migration conditions, Chimney Rock in Martinsville hosted a fair amount of migrants this morning including a Yellow-breasted Chat. Highlights from Jeff Ellerbusch’s report follows:

Black-and-white Warbler 10
Tennessee Warbler
Common Yellowthroat – 3
American Redstart – 8
Northern Parula – 3
Magnolia Warbler
Chestnut-sided Warbler – 2
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Canada Warbler
Yellow-breasted Chat
Scarlet Tanager
Purple Finch – flyover
