A few sightings from the Hillsborough Township area this afternoon.
Opie Road: Yesterday 4-7-2011, Frank Sencher, Jr. reported 2 Lesser Yellowlegs from the flooded fields area. While the Yellowlegs were not present today, there was one drake Blue-winged Teal along with an American Wigeon. Two American Kestrels were perched on wires near the plowed fields.
Along South Branch Road in Branchburg Township near the Studdiford Bridge 11 Wilson’s Snipe were in a wet depression along with Canada Geese.
At Duke Island Park on the Bridgewater Township side of the Raritan River, an Osprey was standing next to the pond near the canal.
