Hi All,

A short trip down Pleasant Plains rd this morning (1 hr) was rewarded w/ a calling Northern Bobwhite behind the rangers house across from the old Friends parking lot. Called to beat the band for 10 minutes.
Also at the rookery parking lot was a Great Crested Mocking Bird. It was so dead-on I was about ready to do the High Five dance for a FOY !
I was playing w/ a new lens I bought (pc of junk) and photographed what I thought was a Rusty Blackbird.
If it hadn’t made the wildest flight call I’ve ever heard I would have never thought twice about it’s ID. It sounded like a Kazoo.
