Prothonotary Warbler, Raven at Lord Stirling Park; Opie Rd. Shorebirds, 5/3/2011

At least one Prothonotary Warbler continues along the Passaic River at Lord Stirling Park, Bernards Township. Also present this morning was a calling Common Raven. Other species:
– Green Heron
– Red-eyed Vireo
– Yellow-throated Vireo
– Northern Parula
– Black-throated Green Warbler
– Black-throated Blue Warbler
– Black-and-white Warbler
– Yellow-rumped Warbler
– Yellow Warbler
– Ovenbird
– Common Yellowthroat

In the afternoon, Opie Road in Hillsborough Township had the following:
– Greater Yellowlegs – 5
– Lesser Yellowlegs – 2
– Solitary Sandpipers – 11 at least
– Least Sandpiper – 2
– Killdeer – 1
– Wilson’s Snipe – 2
