Hi Jonathan,

This afternoon there were 9 redheads on the pond at 350 Clark Drive in the International Trade Center. There were 4 males and 5 females. No other ducks on the pond, just a few Canadas.

Note: The Clark Drive Redheads were found on January 15. The numbers have gently fluctuated since that time from occasionally none to 4, 5 and 6 individuals. 9 is the high for the year in both Morris and Somerset Counties (and the all-time high count for either county in the eBird database. There were 75 recorded on the Boonton CBC in 1956 and  there are a few other years with more modest double figure numbers (whether these were recorded in Morris or Essex counties is another matter). Surely, there are other historic numbers in the MoCoSoCo region but it requires people to enter their records, hint-hint). (J. Klizas)
