Northern Shrike continues in Boonton Township – sat up in a low bush next to the parking lot then flew to a small tree behind the garbage cans. Great looks!

No sign of the Bald Eagles – maybe someone told them they are no longer on the endangered list so they moved on.

Note: A pair of adult Bald Eagles built a nest during the last few months at Mt. Hope Lake. Hopes were promising for this becoming the third breeding pair of Bald Eagles in Morris County. Unfortunately, the last known sighting of the Eagles was two weeks ago so it appears as if the pair has abandoned the site for now. (J. Klizas)
