Rails and Least Bittern at Great Swamp, June 9, 2012

From Simon Lane:

A King Rail gave two call sequences at the Friends blind before sunrise this morning – seemed to be near the tree line directly opposite the blind.

A Least Bittern flew a short distance further out and to the right – not heard calling today but was doing so last week.

A Virginia was also Ke-dik’ing but further out.

No White-eyed Vireo today, and of course, no Mississippi Kite!
