Morris Plains Pacific Loon is gone; Great Egret and Pine Siskin in Somerset Co., Mar.21, 2013

After twelve consecutive days, it appears that the juvenile Pacific Loon has flown from the pond on American Road, Morris Plains. Despite searching for twenty-five minutes at 5:00 p.m. by me and by Tom Johnson later, the loon did not appear. If the loon’s departure is true, then: farewell young Gavia pacifica. Your visit is memorable for many.

Reported earlier in a post, Tim Vogel did see the adult Pacific Loon at Lake Parsippany today. The Boonton Reservoir adult is unreported today, probably due to a lack of searching. Here is the Loon Map.
