From Tom Halliwell:
Hi Jon,
The Budd Lake Red-throated Loon was in nice and close (by the swimming beach) this early afternoon (Saturday). I was able to ID one Greater Scaup in the continuing scaup flock which today was near to route 46 at the east side of the lake. While I saw the Red-breasted Mergs yesterday (forgot to post to Mocosoco, mea culpa), today I did not.
All the best,
Tom Halliwell

Jamie Glydon also had the Red-throated Loon at Budd Lake this morning. Later in the day he found an American Kestrel and 5 Killdeer at Florham Park Fields.

I was also watching red- throated loon today from the boat launch area at 2.30pm. It was awesome!
He was so close to the edge…to bad I didn’t have my camera with me. And it was first time for me to see a red-throated loon in my life!!! Unforgetable!!!
