Mike Hiotis says Wow!
What the world?! This is nuts! (Okay push the loon down to Somerset for us)
Do we know for certain that this is a 2nd Pacific Loon? Is it possible the first one moved?
It is absolutely a second loon. The first was seen this morning and is a juvenile in juvenile plumage. The second was seen a short time later and is in a completely different adult plumage.
Thank you for confirming that. I was unaware that the Morris Plains (first Pacific Loon) was a juvenile. This is really amazing! Hopefully they’ll stick around until tomorrow.
