“I spent a couple hours there today, saw many Cuckoos, both types. Also among the regulars: White-eyed Vireo, Least Flycatcher, Yellow Warblers, Prairie Warblers, 30+ Cedar Waxwings overhead.”
Great Swamp NWR highlights: Least Bittern, Great Egret, Green Heron, Yellow-billed and Black-billed Cuckoos, Eastern Wood-Pewee, Least Flycatcher, Willow Flycatcher, White-eyed Vireo, Gray-cheeked and Swainson’s Thrush, 20 Warbler species, Lincoln’s and White-crowned Sparrows (Simon Lane).
Two Black-crowned Night-Herons are at Jefferson Road Pond, Parsippany today (Julie Buechner).
Seen and singing Tennessee and Canada Warblers and 6 Common Nighthawks were in Washington Valley, Morris Township at sunset (J. Klizas).
