Visitors:
Visitors= 21. Thank you to all the visitors and veteran birders, who struggled through the blue sky, helping us spot what ever was passing the watch.
Weather:
Temperature 50-71F, Calm NNW winds 2-6 mph, variable high cloud cover 10-25% but mostly blue sky, visibility 30 miles.
Raptor Observations:
BWs were at high altitude by the time they were passing the watch. A very slow morning with few kettles and mostly small groups of BWs. The BW flight picked up after 3pm DST and 70% of the BW count was tallied then.
Non-raptor Observations:
Thank you to Cliff Miles who has been cataloging the songbirds the past week. Pileated WP, Red Bellied WP, Chickadee, Magnolia Warbler, Tennessee Warbler, Black throated Green, Red Eyed Vireo, Blue headed Vireo, Titmouse, Indigo Bunting, Robin, Bluejay,Crow, Raven, Flicker, Purple Finch, Pewee, Catbird, White breasted Nuthatch, Philadelphia Vireo, Bluebird, Cedar Waxwing, Downy WP, Morning Dove,Phoebe.
