The ducks of the Raritan River are the main highlight of the bird life of Morris and Somerset Counties at the moment. This is a way of saying that not much is currently happening on the bird front in this region. The Duke Island Park specialties continue to inhabit the open water accessible via the picnic area marked Jaycee Grove at the park and Jaycee Rd. on the map. This is the west most parking lot of the park.
