Chatham’s Wilson’s Warbler was seen well this morning on Sunday, January 1st. It was in a tree at the near end of the bamboo wall while driving into a parking spot at the Centercourt Tennis Club on Passaic Avenue – a car bird! Later it would flit from branch to fence to bush keeping in view for some two to three minutes.
2-3 Northern Shovelers are also at the Chatham Sewage Ponds along with Ring-necked Ducks, Buffleheads, Hooded Mergansers and Gadwall.
Teri Catalano reports the Greater White-Fronted Goose from Duke Island Park in Bridgewater this afternoon. 2012 is starting where 2011 left off.
From Jody Hey: Sign of the times/weather. A catbird on Robert Road in Somerset.
