It was a quiet closing to the Thanksgiving weekend in our area on this Sunday. One each of Red and White-winged Crossbills, vocalizing flyovers, along with a Pine Siskin were heard at Chimney Rock by Jeff Ellerbusch, Simon Lane and me. A continuing Winter Wren was also heard.

Jamie Glydon relocated the two Red-breasted Mergansers at Lake Parsippany. These are probably the same two seen on Nov. 23.

At Willowwood Arboretum at end of the day today (11/25/12), there were two Golden-Crowned Kinglets, 1 Yellow-Rumped Warbler, 1 Savannah Sparrow, 1 American Tree Sparrow, among the usual winter birds.
Thanks, Ken. I was at Willowwood briefly on Nov. 24. Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was all I could find besides a sparse handful of typical species.
