A Greater White-fronted Goose (GWFG) was watched this afternoon at Foote’s Pond on James Street in Morristown. Kevin Lapsey and Florence Klecha were covering this as part of the 77th Boonton Christmas Bird Count. The GWFG was watched from 3:20-3:45 p.m. when it took off and flew west with the 150 Canada Geese that were also in the pond. This is only the second record of GWFG in the 77 year history of the count. A complete report of today’s count will be published once all of the data is received.
