Report of the 77th Boonton Christmas Bird Count on Dec. 23, 2012

The Boonton Christmas Bird Count occurred on Sunday, December 23, 2012. 37 participants logged many hours searching for birds to add to the count. A warm and hearty “Thank You!” to all of the observers who make this endeavor happen and succeed.

The full report is not part of this post for a few reasons:

In brief, despite flooded conditions and lack of natural concentration points (all bodies of water were open; no snow cover at all) the indefatigable band of participants managed to find 96 species plus 2 more count week species.
