A Cackling Goose was in the Raritan River with Canada Geese off of River Road in Hillsborough Twp. today. Further down River Road, a huge number of gulls was in the vicinity of the Norz farm. Included were 450 Ring-billed Gulls, 8 Herring Gulls and 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull (Jeff Ellerbusch).

Yesterday, more Red-headed Woodpeckers were located at the Passaic River County Park in Chatham Township. 3 Red-headed Woodpeckers, 2 Pileated Woodpeckers and 3 Rusty Blackbirds were in the area (Jim Mulvey). This section of the park is entered from River Road near Roosevelt Rd. in Chaham Township. From the Berkeley Heights side (Union County), enter by the soccer fields on Springfield Ave.
