Today’s morning songbird flight at Chimney Rock includes the following: Philadelphia Vireo, Swainson’s Thrush, 3 Black-and-white Warblers, Tennessee Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, 5 American Redstarts, 5 Northern Parulas, 3 Magnolia Warblers, 2 Blackburnian Warblers, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Pine Warbler and 15 Black-throated Green Warblers (Jeff Ellerbusch).

7 Common Nighthawks flew at sunset in Hillsborough Township (Vicki Schwartz).

Songbirds are scarce in much of Morris County. That is except for a remarkable group of 4 Cape May Warblers taking up temporary residence in a private yard in Long Valley for the past week (Alison Goessling).

Chuck Hantis photographed the following Broad-winged Hawk this morning at Glenhurst Meadows.
